How does the Dev Day seminar work?

  • Limited time?
  • Unable to leave the office or facility?

Then the Dev Day seminar is ideal for you.

Take advantage of the internet by attending a unique hybrid event that provides both a technical overview and your own individual hands-on experience with the FactoryTalk suite of information software – all without having to get up from your desk.

Once registered, simply follow the logon link provided at the designated time of the seminar. Dev Day seminars will always start with a technical presentation that introduces the topic using an online meeting service. After the technical presentation, you will have access to your own personal virtual sandbox to perform a hands-on lab. The virtual labs are self-paced, and you’re free to spend as much time as you need to complete the lab. If you need to step away, the lab will remember where you left off. Moderators will be online to assist you if you have any questions while you work through the lab.

What do I need to join a Dev Day session?

Joining one of our Dev Day seminars is easy. You can attend right from your desk using the internet and a standard web browser. You do not need to have any Rockwell Automation software installed on your computer.

Here is what you need to have the best experience:

  • Laptop or desktop computer
  • Internet connection
  • Phone or computer speakers for presentation audio
  • Chrome browser for accessing the cloud-based workshop
  • Second monitor, or second laptop, or tablet to use for the lab manual
